Lansdowne Evangelical Free Church plans for reopening

Our church building has been closed since 18th March. Earlier this week, the church elders and trustees agreed to plan for reopening on 19th July, which two socially distanced, smaller, shorter services at 10am and 12pm, provided we can have all the safeguards in place.

I produced a video for the church, which is below, explaining our plans in more detail.

This is a huge step for the church and it is not a decision that is taken lightly.

Some may think that we are taking things too slowly, but this article, from a church in the USA, is an example of the dangers of Covid-19 spreading in a church setting (albeit one much bigger than our own). So, we will work very carefully to get things right and to observe hygiene procedures and social distancing vigorously.

Although our services will be very different, we will have the joy of seeing each other’s faces, worshipping (without singing initially) and hearing His word together.

Please pray for the Lord to help us with the preparation and then when we meet again.
