Jesus said to Mary Magdalene, “I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.”
Jesus is saying, “Because of what I have done, my Father is now your Father, and my God is now your God.”
Our sins separated us from God, but Jesus took away our sins on the cross. Before we were saved, we were dead in our transgressions and sins (Ephesians 2:1) but, through the resurrection of Jesus, we are made alive together with Christ – so that we can know God personally – we can know God as Father.
Praise the Lord, Jesus is alive. Praise the Lord, God is our Father and He loves us, He cares for us, He provides for us, He guides us, He protects us, He teaches us, He strengthens us when we are weak, He carries us through the fire, He comforts us in sorrow, He helps us against the enemy, He will never leave us and, when the day comes, He will welcome us home.
